They didn’t anticipate that the outcome would soon lead to a comical little power struggle, though.

They didn’t anticipate, however, that the outcome would soon lead to a humorous little power struggle.

Despite being the newcomer, Carrot quickly established himself as the household’s leader. Carrot appears to just be exempt from the rules, and he isn’t hesitant to state as much.

He sneaks food from the pantry by opening the cabinets. He knocks all of our refrigerator magnets off, Jones said. Additionally, he eats directly off our plates while we are still eating.

Carrot has no shame.

Jones, for her part, mostly seems to find amusement in Carrot’s wily ways. Her husband, on the other hand, hasn’t been so quick to give up control to the cat.

“He is constantly chasing Carrot around the house trying to get him to stop doing whatever he is doing,” Jones said.

This battle of wills is ongoing between Carrot and Jones’ husband, but she recently caught one particular tense moment on video. In it, the two were locked in a standoff over whether or not the blinds should be open.

He managed to outsmart my husband and open the curtains he couldn’t reach, which was absolutely not what I expected, Jones added.

Carrot once more demonstrated who is in charge in traditional form.
Of course, there are other aspects of life with a furry little would-be tyrant besides squabbling. When not pushing himself to the utmost, Carrot enjoys showing his loved ones how much he cares.

Jones described the youngster as “a very sweet, caring boy who loves to cuddle.” But he LOVES to get into trouble.
