The father of Singaporean-born Xingyi Danielle, who is presently working in China, stumbled across some persons selling live dogs that were being sold in bags and would later be killed for their meat as he was walking down an alley to buy food.

Fortunately, Danielle’s father decided to take action and save a life with only approximately $90. He wasn’t apathetic to the situation.

Danielle stated to The Dodo:

“He couldn’t buy more since the setting he is in is not dog friendly. But he did at least succeed in saving one.

When the man got home, he snapped a picture of the puppy he had managed to save, displaying it in the state in which he had discovered it—trapped in a bag as though it were a commodity rather than a live thing. He even gets a new name, “Doggo,” and is fortunately now in caring hands.

Since dogs are not permitted where Danielle’s father lives, Doggo has been living in his office until he can find a better place to live. The dog has relished his newfound mobility and opportunity to explore.

Danielle:

Even though my father’s coworkers moan about the mess Doggo is creating, they are making an effort to give him a decent environment.

Even though Doggo isn’t in the ideal situation right now, Danielle’s father completely improved his life. That deed of compassion actually made a huge difference.

Danielle remarked:

To be quite honest, “I am very proud.”
