Boss, a 9-year-old dog who spent the last 280 days of his life in the Atlanta Humane Society (AHS) shelter after being abandoned by his family because “they couldn’t take care of him longer,” wished to spend Christmas in a loving home. In a perfect world, he would have a permanent home, but for the time being, he was being cared for in a foster family.

The shelter decided to spread the word to help with Boss’ adoption since they could no longer stand the circumstances he was in, and they had great success.

Although he is an older dog, he still has a lot of love and enjoyment to share.

“His name, Boss, is appropriate since as we stroll through the neighborhood, people respect and admire him for his stately appearance. He has a dog’s tenderness about him.

When Boss’ wish to be adopted was spread, a family became interested in meeting him.

On its Facebook page, AHS stated:

She interacted with a potential new family today, and tomorrow she’ll meet two potential dogs who might grow up to be her siblings to see how they get along. Without your generosity, none of this would have been possible, and we are so grateful!

Fortunately, Boss received the finest Christmas present ever when he was able to locate a long-term family. After basically living alone for so long, he deserves to experience the comfort of a home.
